Display names and numbers

Every child can compete publicly without revealing their real name. You decide what others see on scoreboards and displays.

The options

  • Anonymous number (default) — your child shows as #14. Nobody sees a name.
  • Approved nickname — a fun, screen-safe handle like RocketFox. You suggest it; an organizer approves it to keep nicknames appropriate.
  • First name + last initial — for families who are comfortable showing it.

How approval works

When you suggest a nickname, it stays hidden (the number shows) until an organizer approves it. If a nickname is ever flagged, the display falls back to the safe number automatically.

You can change the choice at any time in your family settings, and it applies to every screen instantly.
