How to use your wristband at events

At many events you'll get an NFC wristband — a band you tap on a tablet to check in, start your turn, and move through the day.

Tapping in

  1. Hold the wristband flat against the tap zone on the tablet (often a phone or reader at a table).
  2. Wait for the green check and your name (or number) to appear.
  3. The screen tells you what's next — a station, a match, or "all done."

Tips

  • One tap is enough. If nothing happens, lift the band away and tap again, holding it still for a second.
  • Lost your band? Tell a volunteer — they can mark it lost and issue a new one in seconds.
  • Your wristband doesn't store personal info; it just identifies your registration to the event.
