Troubleshooting: display won't pair
Most pairing problems clear up in under a minute. Work down this list.
Quick fixes
- Check the code. The display shows a short pairing code. Enter it exactly — codes expire after a few minutes, so refresh the display for a new one if needed.
- Same event, right org. Make sure you're pairing from the organization that owns the event.
- Network. The display and the device you're pairing from both need internet. Venue Wi-Fi with a sign-in page can block the display — use a known-good network.
- Refresh the display. Relaunch the display app or reload the web display page to get a fresh code.
Still stuck?
- On a web browser display, open
display.communati.appand enter the code there. - Use the TV control screen in live ops to push a module directly to a paired screen.
- If a screen is frozen on old content, un-pair and re-pair it from TV control.
