AI features
CommunATI has optional AI helpers. They are off unless your organization turns them on, and every one of them produces a draft for a human to check — never a final answer.
What they do
- Question authoring — drafts quiz questions on a topic and grade level. Read every one before you use it in a class; a plausible wrong answer is worse than no question.
- Translation — drafts English↔French for your own text.
- Judging assistance — suggests a rubric score from a written submission. A suggestion, not a score. A person decides.
- Sentiment — flags feedback that reads as distressed so a person looks at it sooner.
- Highlights — see Photos and highlights.
The rule
Nothing an AI produces goes to a child, a family, or a display without a person approving it. These are drafting tools that save typing.
Indigenous languages
Automatic translation is not available for Cree, Ojibwe or other Indigenous languages, and this will not change. Those translations are done through community partnership, not by a machine — accuracy here is a matter of respect, not convenience.
Turning them on
An organization admin enables AI features for your organization. If AI does not appear in your admin menu, it has not been enabled for you.
