Print certificates
Certificates are generated from the competition results, so you don't retype names.
Two kinds
- Participation — everyone who took part.
- Placement — the podium, with the position printed.

Three designs ship with the app: classic, modern and playful. Pick whichever suits the event; the CommunATI brand stays consistent across all three.
Where the wording comes from
If you've run Compute awards on the event (see Compute awards and print the run-sheet), certificates print the official award wording instead of a plain placement — things like "Gold Medal · U12" or "1st Place", and "Participation Award" for everyone else. A competitor who earned more than one award (say, an overall finish and a category medal) gets them all listed on one certificate, joined together — for example "2nd Place · Gold Medal · U10".
Haven't computed awards yet? Placement certificates still work — they fall back to a plain ordinal from each competitor's recorded finish ("First Place", "Second Place", …).
Real names or nicknames
This is the choice that matters. A certificate can print a competitor's real name or their display name. Real names are appropriate on a paper certificate handed to a family. If you're showing certificates on screen, projecting them, or posting photos of them, use display names — the same rule as every other public surface. See Display names and competitor numbers.
