Create your first event

An event is anything you run for participants — a science fair, a robotics meet, a showcase, a tournament.

Start from a template

1. Go to Admin → Events → New event.
2. Pick a template (CommunATI ships dozens for schools and categories) or start blank.
3. Set the date, location, and which classes or programs can register.

Build it out

• Add categories and the rules for each — scoring method, tie-breakers, advancement.
• Turn on the pieces you need: registration, QR check-in, wristbands, live scoreboard, announcements.
• Invite judges and volunteers by email or magic link.

Before the day

• Provision wristbands if you're using them.
• Do a five-minute walkthrough of the live ops dashboard so you know where everything is.
